Service Overview
 
The service provides comprehensive counseling and information services to individuals in conflict with the law. We are committed to alleviate stress and strengthen sense of law compliance of defendants throughout prosecution processes and post-sentencing stage. Our target is to rebuild the lives of defendants and their families with confidence, harmony and law-abiding spirit.

All Magistrates’ Courts, District Court, and High Court in Hong Kong
 
Scope of Services
 
Outreaching Service: Professional social workers outreach to all Magistracies’ Courts, District Court, High Court to provide counseling service and welfare assistance to the defendants and family members attending court hearings.
Counseling Service: Counseling service is provided to help service users solve problems relating to family, emotion, behavior, finance and employment, etc.
Volunteer Service: Trained volunteers visit the Magistracies’ Courts regularly to care for defendants and their family members, promote crime prevention and convey social caring messages.
Referral Service: If further assistance is required, social workers will refer service users to other services for follow-up. For examples, intelligence and psychological assessment, employment counseling and training, and psychiatric service, etc.

Monday to Thursday Friday Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
2 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
2 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Closed
 
Application and Withdrawal
 
Service users could initiate to obtain the service through direct application or referral made by other organizations. They may terminate service voluntarily at any juncture of the service process. Social workers could also terminate the service upon their professional judgment and mutual agreement made with the service users.
